Wildlife Crossing Experience

Welcome Center, Wellen Park, 12275 Mercado Dr, Venice, FL 34293

Wildlife Crossing will be at Wellen Park welcome center on Saturday, August 27.  There will be two shows – 10:00 a.m. & 1:00 p.m.  This is a free event, but donations are encouraged to support this not-for-profit 501.c.3, wildlife facility located outside of Okeechobee Florida.

The  Wildlife Crossing travel all over Florida to provide educational talks and experiences ranging from talking to school groups about the Florida ecosystem, large event spaces to showcase all manner of wildlife, to presenting specialized talks with venomous snakes.

The sanctuary is home to all manner of exotic animals including big and lesser cats, primates, crocodilian species, birds of prey, and venomous snakes just to name a few.  A main mission of the sanctuary is to place these exotic animals into other zoological facilities or sanctuaries that best suit their needs.

Come learn more about Florida native wildlife and perhaps see turtles, tortoises, small alligators, a red shouldered hawk and even a large Boa!   Guests can get up close and ask questions and interact with some of the animals!

RSVPs are not required
