State College of Florida

Established in 1957, State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) is the region’s first and largest public college, serving 11,000 college credit students annually at campuses in Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, and Venice, as well as via online classes. Another 14,000 participants annually attend professional development and personal enrichment classes. The College has graduated more than 50,000 students since 1959.

Teaching students in grades 9-12, SCF Collegiate School Venice is ideal for highly motivated students interested in working toward their college degree while in middle and high school. Teachers work with students to achieve college level academics, in preparation for the Dual Enrollment Program that students enter their junior year, allowing motivated students to graduate high school with an Associate in Arts degree.
