In a Southwest Florida community like Wellen Park, many residents opt for a beachy vibe in their new digs, which is where Breakwater Home Fashions comes into play! With plenty of experience in retail and a keen eye for coastal design, owners Mike and Rene are eager to join Downtown Wellen at the end of Q4 2022.

About the Owners
Meet Mike and Rene, Atlanta, Georgia transplants who are already thoroughly integrating themselves into the Wellen Park community. Their new store, Breakwater Home Fashions, is their first foray into home decor, but they’re no stranger to the world of retail — they have owned several specialty shops up in Atlanta.
Coastal themed accents abound.
Distinctive Decor
Their charming new shop will be a coastal-themed boutique, stocked with unique items that will perfectly complement our Wellen Park homes. In an interview, the future owners stated that they’re working with vendors to provide exclusive inventory that isn’t available through big-box and e-commerce retailers, so their inventory will be as one-of-a-kind as possible. From wall art to accent furniture and linens to lighting, Breakwater will constantly feature all-new items so every time you enter the store you’ll find something you’ve never seen before.

A Perfect Fit
Mike and Rene intend to work with artists from the Wellen Park community and will feature a local artist section of the store where artists can display and sell their work.
The 1,500 square foot space is going to be set among many other new dining and retail destinations coming to Downtown Wellen. Be sure to keep an eye out for an official opening date and swing by for all of your coastal decor needs!
