Wellen Park’s nine neighborhoods make up the soul of our welcoming, harmonious community in Venice, Florida: Boca Royale, Gran Paradiso-Lennar, Grand Palm, Preserve, Oasis, Islandwalk, Renaissance, Gran Paradiso – Sam Rodgers, and Sarasota National. The new Downtown Wellen District will be the heart that seamlessly ties each of Wellen Park’s existing and future neighborhoods all together upon its arrival in Q2 2022.

Downtown Wellen aims to act as a one-stop-shop for all things food, play, and fun within the community. This must-visit destination along the water will truly embody and bring to life Wellen Park’s mission of having fun and living well.

The new downtown district will include the existing Marketplace retail center with all your favorite spots, from Publix Super Market to Irma’s Tacos to Peachwave Frozen Yogurt. It will also feature brand new storefronts along the waterside for delectable eats and tempting treats. There will be even more to love with a brand-new lakefront restaurant that will act as a standout dining experience for every special occasion.

As the hub of heartfelt connections, Downtown Wellen is intended to be the perfect place for residents and visitors to come together effortlessly in a naturally inspired setting.

Fun-Loving Lifestyles

From shaded play areas to plenty of seating to welcoming green spaces, Downtown Wellen has been designed for people of all ages in mind. Children can play within the dynamic play space near the shade of towering oak trees or amongst the splash pads and fountains by the future lakefront. Everyone can enjoy biking, walking or lounging with a book while taking in the lakefront views and connectivity of downtown.

The Great Lawn, a large and lush gathering space, will become home to many festivities from live music to holiday celebrations and exciting events for the entire community.

The Town Hall will serve as the perfect addition for indoor and outdoor events. With oversized windows and retractable walls, this building will go from day-to-night as it hosts indoor meetings or a concert on its covered performance stage. There’s nothing we love more than a waterfront sunset view, and Downtown Wellen would not be complete without one of its own. The future lakefront will feature a special outfitter with kayaks and paddleboard rentals just off of a floating dock if you choose to experience this special moment on the water instead of alongside it. There will also be a 2.8-mile trail around the 80-acre lake for biking, walking, and running.

Future plans call for the addition of a hotel for friends and family to visit. Situated right near the water, this location guarantees scenic views from all rooms.
