The perfect spot to fish or simply catch the stunning Southwest Florida sunset, Venice Fishing Pier cannot be missed.
Located halfway down the pier, you’ll find Papa’s Bait Shop, a small shack for rental rods, live bait, and quick snacks.
For a larger, sit-down meal that overlooks Venice Fishing Pier, head over to Sharky’s On the Pier for their Bait Bucket Margarita or New England Style Cod Fish and Chips.
If you’re looking for an upscale dining option with an unparalleled Gulf view, check out Sharky’s On the Pier’s sister restaurant, Fins at Sharky’s.
Filled with local shopping and awesome eats, you get a bit of everything in Historic Downtown Venice.
This shopping and dining district is located right off Venice Beach and is just a quick 20-minute drive from Wellen Park.
The historic downtown area features all types of hidden gems, including The Soda Fountain of Venice, Venice Avenue Creamery, Upper Crust Cafe & Bakery, Seaside Chic Boutique, and many more.
Known for its stunning architecture and deep-rooted history, the Venice Train Depot is a must-see in Venice, Florida.
Built in 1927, the train station was central to the founding and development of Venice and is currently the only surviving passenger station in Sarasota County.
We recommend heading over to simply soak in the history or take a photoshoot amongst the beautiful architecture.
As the Shark Tooth Capital of the World, it just wouldn’t be right to be in Venice without doing a little shark tooth hunting along the beaches.
Casperson Beach is just the right place to search for this hidden treasure. The beach is covered with shark teeth that make for a fun scavenger hunt and a great souvenir to take home.
This beautiful beach is open from 6 a.m. to midnight — head on over and start hunting!
A good pup’s dream, Brohard Paw Park is a dog-friendly beach where dogs of all breeds and sizes can dig, play, and swim at their leisure.
Complete with a fenced-in dog play yard, dog waste bags, showers, and drinking fountains for humans and dogs, it’s a great way to spend the day with Fido if you’re looking for things to do in Venice, Florida.
