It’s the most wonderful time of the year here in Wellen Park, and if you’re looking to really embrace festive fun this season, look no further! We’ve rounded up all different types of holiday events occurring near Wellen Park this month so you can take your pick and begin the merriment.

Walkin’ in a (Warm!) Winter Wonderland
Dates: December 11-23, December 26-30, and January 1- 2
One benefit of celebrating the holidays down south: Outdoor gardens all year long! If strolling the walkways of a twinkling wonderland set in a lush garden sounds like your holiday cup of tea, don’t miss Lights in Bloom: An Open-Air Holiday Light Show. This magical event occurs many evenings this month at Selby Gardens in Downtown Sarasota.

Christmas Carols and Beyond
Dates: December 17 & 18
The Venice Symphony is prepared to deliver a little bit of everything with their upcoming concert: A Holly Jolly Holiday. The concert will feature classic music in celebration of Christmas and Hanukkah, tunes from beloved holiday film favorites, and even a sing-along so all can participate.
A Traditional Tale Takes Stage
Dates: December 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20
Don’t be a Scrooge! Get into the spirit with a Christmas classic — the Venice Theatre will be performing A Christmas Carol on weekends from December 10 through 20. To make things even more special, it’s the theatre’s 20th-anniversary performance of the show. Be sure to secure your tickets soon!
