Louie’s Bistro Is Now Open in the Welcome Center
Those who love visiting the Wellen Park Welcome Center for a coffee, take-out treat, or even a sit-down meal will love Louie’s Bistro! The new café is now open inside of our Welcome Center, which recently won the award for Best Community Welcome Center in the U.S. from the National Association of Home Builders.
Between the owners’ classic family values and scrumptious menu items, Louie’s Bistro is sure to be your new favorite neighborhood spot for made-from-scratch breakfast and lunch options!

A Family Affair
Louie’s Bistro is a family establishment that spans generations — owners Jennifer and Corey Pope named and themed the restaurant after Jennifer’s late father. They plan to run the business with the help of their three children.
Rick Severance, president of Wellen Park, said, “Louie’s Bistro represents the community-minded and entrepreneurial spirit that defines so many businesses here. We are excited to welcome the Pope family and introduce their unique concept to guests and local residents who enjoy dining and meeting at the Welcome Center.”
That concept will embody the personality and legacy of Louie’s Bistro’s namesake, Louie. Jenifer’s father Louie was a dedicated firefighter and firehouse cook so naturally, the interior will feature vintage photos of Louie, firehouse decor, and even a lamp he created from a fire extinguisher!

A Taste of the Menu
The Pope family is also the proprietors of Venice Island Coffee, so you can always expect high-quality roasts and local blends, as well as nitro cold brew coffee and kombucha on draft.
Breakfast and lunch food will reflect the Pope’s roots in Kentucky and West Virginia, and will include southern-style family recipes including biscuits and gravy, hashbrown casserole, and more. You can also expect staples such as breakfast sandwiches, omelettes and, of course, mimosas (coming soon)!
