New HCA Florida Emergency Center Now Under Construction in Wellen Park

We’re excited to announce the groundbreaking of a new healthcare facility in Wellen Park: a free-standing HCA Florida Wellen Park Emergency Center. This groundbreaking marks the continued evolution of Wellen Park beyond a residential haven into an even more interconnected community filled with essential amenities. We can’t wait for our residents and visitors to continue to watch our community grow. 

Wellen Park prioritizes the well-being of its residents, aiming to provide ample opportunities for self-care and promote a healthy and vibrant way of living. Ensuring access to top-tier healthcare services – conveniently located nearby – is a key commitment for Wellen Park, catering to both current and prospective residents, as well as visitors.

Beyond resort-style amenities, local shopping and dining, and community events, an on-site emergency center will add even more value to our already flourishing community. With numerous local healthcare facilities and providers close by including HCA Florida Englewood Hospital, several Sarasota Memorial healthcare facilities, and now, HCA Florida Wellen Park Emergency Center, residents and visitors alike will have even more of a range of options when it comes to their healthcare needs.

As our community expands, incorporating essential amenities such as healthcare facilities, becomes increasingly beneficial for all Wellen Park residents. The addition of the emergency center is particularly crucial, catering to individuals of all ages. From families with small children to the elderly, having such a facility nearby provides not only valuable support in times of need but also reassurance for every member of the community.

The 11,300-square-foot standalone emergency department will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and is projected to accommodate more than 10,000 patients each year. The facility will feature 11 exam rooms and offer full-service emergency care, including laboratory, x-rays, CT scanning, and ultrasound capabilities. 

The emergency center is truly a testament to the hospital’s and Wellen Park’s commitment to providing advanced and accessible healthcare just around the corner. Community members can expect a finish date of spring 2025 for the HCA Florida Wellen Park Emergency Center to be officially open.
