Wellen Park Digs Art Voting Contest
Breaking ground on Downtown Wellen provided us the opportunity to connect, inviting our partners and community together to be a part of something bigger. It was here that nearly 40 of our development and builder partners joined in the celebration by contributing unique painted shovels that were used for the ceremonial turning of the dirt. These shovels represent our dedication to the arts, cultural experiences, wellness, and most of all, community.
As a way to continue sharing that sense of community, we’ve partnered with the Arts and Cultural Alliance of Sarasota County to raise awareness for the arts in our community. Over the next few months we want you to share the Wellen Way by engaging with our community both in the Wellen Park Welcome Center and on social media, highlighting the vibrant community we’re a part of.
Cast Your Vote
Join a neighbor and cast your ballot for your favorite painted shovel at the Welcome Center from October 1-November 24, 2021. For every vote cast, we’ll donate $1 for the love of arts to the Arts and Cultural Alliance of Sarasota County.
Wonderful Wellen Winners
At Wellen Park, we’re all winners. Those painted shovels awarded first, second, and third place will each be awarded a $1,000 donation to a charity of their choice. Additionally, a panel of judges will be selecting a handful of superlative winners to be awarded a $500 donation to a charity of their choice. Superlatives include:
- Most Representative of Wellen Park
- Most Creative
- Most Original
- Most Whimsical
- Most Representative of the Region
Winners will be announced in late November, so stay tuned!
