Enjoy an evening of illumination and music in Downtown Wellen! Join your community to place hundreds of glowing luminaries bags in a moment of reflection and celebration for the New Year. Enjoy a jazz band concert, projection art, and fireworks while enjoying the sounds of The Eighth Note Collective, which is an Orlando based jazz band, who bring a fresh take on Classic Jazz music.
Luminary Bags:
Luminary bags are on a first come first served basis from 5:00pm-7:00pm while supplies last. Participants will have the opportunity to personalize their luminary bag with New Years’ wishes or remembrances of loved ones ahead of placing them along the lake.
Fireworks:
Enjoy a commemorative fireworks show over the Grand Lake at 8:00pm. Due to ongoing drought conditions, there is a possibility that the fireworks may need to be rescheduled. Thanks for understanding.
Parking*:
Parking for the event will fill up fast we suggest carpooling, ridesharing, golf carting or walking if possible.
