FESTIVAL

We can’t wait to kick off 2026 with the Luminescence Festival this Friday! Enjoy a live jazz band, stunning projection art, and the opportunity to decorate luminary bags that will line the shores of Grand Lake. Unfortunately, out of an abundance of caution and with respect to current drought conditions, local officials have determined that the fireworks display will not be permitted for this event. Fireworks will be rescheduled for a future date—stay tuned for our make-up date! Even without fireworks, we won’t let that diminish this extraordinary night of lights. We hope to see you in Downtown Wellen this Friday as we look back on 2025 and look ahead to a bright 2026!

Luminary Bag Pick Up & Decorating

Luminary bags are on a first come first served basis from 5:00pm-7:00pm while supplies last. Participants will have the opportunity to personalize their luminary bag with New Years’ wishes or remembrances of loved ones ahead of placing them along the lake.

Eight Note Collective Jazz Band Performance

The Eighth Note Collective is an Orlando based jazz band, who bring a fresh take on Classic Jazz music. Bring your lawn chair to fully enjoy the show! Thank you to our music sponsor, Mattamy Homes, for making this possible!

Fireworks-Canceled

Parking

Parking for the event will fill up fast we suggest carpooling, ridesharing, golf carting or walking if possible.

*Please note: RSVP does not guarantee a parking space or a viewing spot for the fireworks. This registration is for internal tracking purposes only, to help us get a more accurate estimate of expected attendance.*

Do I need to RSVP for a Luminary Bag?: Luminary bags are available on a first come first serve basis while supplies last. Luminary bags will be located next to the Heritage Tree for pickup and design beginning at 5pm
Where can I view the fireworks?
Will there be fireworks?: Enjoy a 10 minute commemorative fireworks show over the Grand Lake at 8:00pm. Due to ongoing drought conditions, there is a possibility that the fireworks may need to be rescheduled. Thanks for understanding.
