Downtown Wellen Park Night Market returns with 50 independent artists, vendors and live music

VENICE, Fla. (Aug. 6, 2024) – The Wellen Park Night Market returns Aug. 8, offering an evening of shopping, live music and dining under the twinkling lights of Downtown Wellen. The new event, offered the second Thursday of each month from 6 to 9 p.m., features independent artists and makers specializing in art, home decor, fashion, design and specialty food items set up along Wellen Park Boulevard.

“Our inaugural market in July was a big success and a great time,” said Christine Masney, vice president of marketing for Wellen Park. “It has such a lively, community atmosphere with music, an incredible array of items for sale, and amazing specialty food items served by vendors and at our restaurants. Folks are excited this is a monthly event and we’re thrilled to highlight independent artists and artisans.”

The July event attracted over 1,100 people and featured 40 vendors specializing in jewelry, boutique fashion, bottle art, wood designs and a variety of other wares. Food items included rum cakes, desserts, lemonade, barbecue and vegan fare.

 The Aug. 8 Wellen Park Night Market, sponsored by Neal Communities, is expanding to 50 vendors, who are part of a rotating lineup that ensures each market is unique and exciting.
