Downtown Wellen Park restaurants offer delicious summertime deals

VENICE, Fla. (July 17, 2024) – Diners are savoring the flavors of summertime at Downtown Wellen restaurants, enjoying lunch and dinner specials, even complimentary prosecco, mimosas and happy hour pricing. Eateries throughout downtown are offering dining deals and introducing summer-perfect menu items, including $15 lunch promotions, $40 and $50 multi-course menus for two and cool new treats to beat the heat. Savor the Summer at Downtown Wellen, through Labor Day, offers cuisine for every tastebud and every mood. The deals begin at lunch and continue through dinner.

“The participation of our restaurants is phenomenal,” said Christine Masney, vice president of marketing for Wellen Park. “The promotions are great and give visitors so many opportunities to sample a variety of menus all summer at discounted prices.”

Oak & Stone
Oak & Stone’s Yin & Yang $15 lunch special includes a classic cheese pizza or pizza of the day, a house or Caesar side salad and soft drink. The offer, valid Monday through Friday until 3 p.m., highlights different daily flavors – from pepperoni on Mondays to quattro formaggi pizza on Thursdays and Italian sausage on Fridays.

Happy hour specials, Monday through Friday from 2 to 6 p.m., include $5 Bombora vodka, 25% off beer, wine and Oak & Stone’s curated whiskey selections, and appetizers and cocktails priced from $7 to $9. The restaurant also offers weekend brunch with bottomless mimosas.  

The Yard, featuring Pop Dawgs, Lakeside Bites and Claw & Co.
At the Atlanta Braves-affiliated Pop Dawgs, one of three eateries serving casual food from repurposed shipping containers in The Yard, diners will discover a $15 grand slam lunch combo. Served daily from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., it includes a pretzel dog, tater tots and bottled water. Lakeside Bites is offering a buy-one, get-one deal on all freshly made 32-ounce lemonades. For an authentic taste of New England, Claw & Co. has cold and hot lobster rolls, fried clam strips and baskets.

The Banyan House     
The Banyan House, downtown’s signature lakefront restaurant, presents the 2 for $50 Summer of Savings dinner menu featuring two entrees and complimentary bread service. It’s available Sunday through Thursday after 4 p.m. Patrons can choose from wood-fired strip steak, chicken cordon bleu, rigatoni Bolognese, potato gnocchi, bourbon-glazed salmon and miso cod. The Banyan House is also offering a complimentary mimosa with any lunch entree daily from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Acqua Pazza
Acqua Pazza offers a taste of the Italian Riviera and a choice of two entrees, fresh-baked focaccia bread and two mini cannolis for $40. Delectable selections, offered Sunday through Thursday after 4 p.m., feature pasta di amore, shrimp or clam linguine, chicken Sorrento, spaghetti with meatballs, eggplant parmigiana and baked gnocchi Sorrentino. Visit Acqua Pazza midday and receive a complimentary glass of prosecco with any lunch entree from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Villani & Co.
Perfect for lunch, Villani & Co. offers mix-and-match sandwich and salad or soup combos for $15. The restaurant’s $50 for two summer dinner specials, available Sunday through Thursday, highlight fresh seasonal ingredients and include two glasses of house wine or beer, a choice of appetizer, two entrees and a dessert to share. Dinnertime promos feature steak, fish and chicken options and cauliflower steak. A premium dinner for two, accompanied by a bottle of wine, is $90. Chef Mike’s famous ramen is served Monday nights while supplies last.

Bright Ice Scoop Shop and Foxtail Coffee Co.
Bright Ice Scoop Shop’s new forever ice cream flavor – orange-kissed coconut cake – offers a true taste of summer and Florida. Foxtail Coffee Co. recently introduced the spiced guava chai shaker, guava cardamom cold brew and spicy mango lime sparkling Americano.

Guests in Downtown Wellen will also enjoy a variety of outdoor recreational activities, spa treatments at Florida Lakes Spa, manicures and pedicures at Paint Nail Bar, and shopping at Breakwater Home Fashions, DanaTyler jewelry and gift boutique, and Naples Soap Company.
