Downtown Wellen | St. Patrick’s Day Half Marathon and 5K
If you love to run then it’s your lucky day, we’re getting ready for Wellen Park’s St. Patrick’s Day Half Marathon and 5K! Read on to learn the who, what, when, and where of our inaugural half marathon and second annual 5K, and be sure to register here if you’d like to participate.

Who?
Both runs are open to all — walkers, strollers, and leashed dogs are welcome to join in on the fun.
Award categories include Male/Female Overall Winners, Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Masters, and Veterans. There will also be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards presented in 15 age groups ranging from 13-80+. Donations and a portion of race proceeds will benefit Girls on the Run of Southwest Florida!

What?
This event isn’t just about the races, participants will also be able to get a first look into Downtown Wellen as each event will begin and end in the downtown area’s brand-new outdoor gathering areas.
Music lovers, rejoice! There will be a catered live music performance held at Downtown Wellen’s Solis Hall following the event.

3:00 pm – 7:00 pm: Packet pickup at Solis Hall at Downtown Wellen
Saturday, March 18th:
10:00 am – 2:00 pm: Packet pickup at Solis Hall at Downtown Wellen
Sunday, March 19th:
6:15 – 7:15 am: Race day packet pickup and registration
7:30 am: Half marathon begins
7:45 am: 5K begins
8:00 am: Post-race food and beverages
9:35 am: Award ceremony begins

Where?
Solis Hall, Downtown Wellen’s brand-new town hall and event space, is the place to be the entire race weekend. This is where you’ll go to pick up your packet, begin and end each race, and gather for post-run festivities.
