DanaTyler jewelry and fashion boutique coming to Downtown Wellen

VENICE, Fla. (Sept. 20, 2022) – Wellen Park has announced the addition of DanaTyler to its vibrant retail lineup for Downtown Wellen. The Southwest Florida-based jewelry and fashion boutique will feature its signature high-quality costume jewelry and introduce new collections exclusive to the Downtown Wellen location.

“DanaTyler enhances Downtown Wellen’s shopping scene and the uniquely Florida merchandise many of our retail stores will be offering,” said Christine Masney, vice president of marketing for Wellen Park. “From jewelry and accessories to home decor and beauty essentials, local residents and visitors alike will enjoy a fun, personable shopping experience in Downtown Wellen.”

Created as a must-visit regional gathering and social destination for dining, shopping, entertainment and outdoor recreation, the first phase of the highly anticipated downtown is well under construction. Businesses are beginning interior buildouts with several planning soft openings at the end of 2022 and beginning of 2023. Downtown Wellen’s expansive tapestry of green spaces, play and gathering areas, and signature one-of-a-kind destinations are taking shape along the 80-acre Grand Lake.

Downtown Wellen is the seventh location for DanaTyler, known as a chic alternative to fine jewelry. The 1,000-square-foot boutique will feature the brand’s popular costume jewelry, introduce a new customizable collection and expand its popular nautical line with 14-karat gold options only available in Downtown Wellen, said founder and CEO Dana Klein.

“We want to be known as the neighborhood jewelry store for Wellen Park and the area,” said Klein. “We specialize in tennis bracelets, cocktail rings, studs and pieces that look like fine jewelry. A lot of people don’t want the responsibility of wearing expensive jewelry and the risk of losing it. We’re also bringing in new products, fun vacation items and a new made-in-America custom line that’s gold-leafed by hand. Customers can personalize a bracelet by adding Swarovski crystals or photos of their grandchildren and pets.”

DanaTyler’s mission is to provide stylish, high-quality jewelry at a fair and attractive price point. “We believe that jewelry doesn’t need an occasion and strive to be fashionable friend that our customers want and need.” The brand’s costume jewelry appeals to all ages, offering customers the opportunity to update their collections with the latest looks without the expense of fine jewelry. Hot items right now are dainty charms on necklaces, Klein said, noting they’ll be offered in the Downtown Wellen boutique, which she expects to open in January. The charms and DanaTyler’s tropical- and nautically themed lines will include 14-karat gold pieces – a company first.

Downtown Wellen also represents DanaTyler’s first built-from-the-ground-up design, which Klein said will become the prototype for future stores.

“We have a great location facing the event lawn,” she said. “I love the whole concept of Downtown Wellen. I’m really impressed with what it’s going to be like and the events that will be held. I’ve met the other businessowners and everyone is so excited.”

Located off U.S. 41 just west of South River Road in Wellen Park, Downtown Wellen offers restaurants, retail shopping, healthcare providers, and beauty and professional offices immersed within expansive green spaces and outdoor gathering areas against the picturesque backdrop of the 80-acre Grand Lake. The pedestrian-friendly downtown, now fully leased, offers distinctive alfresco spaces designed for connections to nature, including a hammock grove and a lounge area under the canopy of a nearly century-old heritage oak tree, a fountain and splashpad, a playground blending into its natural surroundings, and the Great Lawn for community festivals, markets, celebrations, picnics and playtime.

The lake offers a floating dock and recreational activities, including fishing, kayaking and paddleboarding with rentals available at the on-site Kind Vibes Outfitters. The outfitter will also rent bicycles and e-bikes for exploring the 2.8-mile walking, cycling and jogging trail circling Grand Lake.

The Yard, Downtown Wellen’s just-announced food park and entertainment hub with retrofitted shipping containers, offers a relaxed and playful environment with an open-air dining courtyard and a recreational area for all ages. The lakefront venue’s diverse culinary casual lineup features Greek street food from Agapi, gourmet ballpark favorites from Atlanta Braves-affiliated Pop Dawgs, and New England seafood at Claw & Co.

Diners will also discover a variety of cuisine within downtown’s unique buildings – from new American and fusion at The Banyan House, downtown’s flagship waterfront restaurant, and Coastal Italian at Mirabella’s to pizza and tavern fare at Oak & Stone Craft Beer & Artisan Pizza, steak and small plates at Villani & Co. Steak Seafood Raw Bar, and super-premium ice cream at Bright Ice. The Banyan House is the exclusive caterer at Solis Hall, Downtown Wellen’s lakefront community space and event venue for weddings, parties, concerts, anniversaries and community celebrations.

Downtown Wellen has also welcomed Breakwater Home Fashions, Paint Nail Bar, Naples Soap Company, Dr. Jeffrey Seymour Smiles Orthodontics, Kind Vibes Outfitters, Capstan Financial Consulting Group, Agility Physical Therapy, Florida Lakes Vein Center and Florida Lakes Spa.
