Second annual Model Home Showcase introduces new Wellen Park neighborhoods, lifestyles

VENICE, Fla. (Jan. 29, 2024) – From lite bites and beverages to live music, caricature artists, photo booths, pickleball demonstrations, gift card raffles and swag bags, Wellen Park homebuilders are ensuring guests have a memorable experience during the 2024 Model Home Showcase Saturday, Feb. 10. With 34 fully furnished model homes open to the public, the second annual event also highlights Wellen Park’s newest lifestyles and neighborhoods, including the first for active adults 55+, luxury custom homes in the community’s inaugural multi-builder community and a multigenerational enclave with amenities designed for families of all ages.

The annual showcase, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., covers 11 neighborhoods, each offering builder-sponsored activities and self-guided tours of model homes illustrating the latest in architecture, amenities and interior design.

The Wellen Park Model Home Showcase is free and open to the public. “Our builders have really gone out of their way to welcome the public to Wellen Park and highlight the amenities and attributes that make their neighborhoods special,” said Christine Masney, vice president of marketing for Wellen Park. “Guests will enjoy the full experience of what it’s like to live here. The showcase also marks the exciting public debut of several custom models and neighborhoods, which introduce incredible new homebuying opportunities and lifestyles.”

Showcase models feature a diverse array of residential options at Wellen Park, ranked among the U.S.’s top 10 selling communities in 2023 by prominent real estate consulting firms RCLCO and John Burns. Homes include paired villas, single-family homes and estate, semi-custom and custom homes, with two to four bedrooms and 1,400 to 3,700 square feet of living space. The base home prices range from the $430,000s to over $1.7 million.

Guests will be among the first to preview EVERLY, Wellen Park’s premier luxury custom home neighborhood nestled along a 50-acre lake with sweeping sunset views and private waterfront amenities. Six stunning one- and two-story models by regional builders Homes by WestBay, John Cannon Homes, Lee Wetherington Homes and Neal Signature Homes feature 3,067 to over 3,700 square feet with three and four bedrooms, up to four-and-a-half bathrooms and expansive outdoor living spaces with outdoor kitchens and custom pools and spas.

EVERLY model experiences vary by builder and include beverages, charcuterie noshes and other lite bites, and various raffles. For model homes still under construction by John Cannon Homes, Lee Wetherington Homes and Neal Signature Homes, serious buyers can partake in “dusty shoes and hard hat tours” for an exclusive preview. The neighborhood’s amenities are planned for a fitness center, social hall, a cabana building and numerous alfresco amenities – from a resort pool and pickleball courts to a putting green and fishing platform.

Brightmore illustrates Wellen Park’s vibrant new fun-filled lifestyle for active adults 55+ and features seven professionally designed paired villas and single-family model homes tucked along cul-de-sac streets, lakes and wetland preserves. Developed by Mattamy Homes, North America’s largest privately owned homebuilder, Brightmore offers 649 homes and a robust experiential lifestyle with campus-inspired resort amenities – a clubhouse with a social hall, clubroom, a kitchen and bar, cafe, fitness center and group fitness studio, plus engaging activities, entertaining events and program encouraging social opportunities and an authentic sense of community. The models reflect the community’s 12 versatile home designs, offering two and three bedrooms and 1,412 to 2,478 square feet.

Models will provide a taste of Brightmore’s dynamic lifestyle with light food and beverages, competitive cornhole games, music by an electric violinist, gift card raffles and exclusive merchandise giveaways, and the opportunity to meet with a Mattamy designer to discuss trends and decor.

Mattamy Homes also offers seven additional Showcase models, including three homes in Renaissance, representing the neighborhood’s collection of single-family and paired villa floor plans. Guests will enjoy pickleball and water aerobics demonstrations and tours of the enclave’s amenities, as well as refreshments and branded merchandise keepsakes.

Four Mattamy Homes model homes are also open in Sunstone, where a singer-steeler drummer channels the resort-inspired atmosphere of the neighborhood’s amenities expected to open in February. Showcase visitors will be treated to Thai chi, yoga and pickleball exhibitions and amenity tours of the beach-entry pool, pickleball courts, fitness center and Paw Park. They’ll also enjoy charcuterie selections, beverages and gift card raffles.

Pulte Homes, a new Wellen Park builder in the multigenerational Lakespur neighborhood featuring expansive lakes, heavily forested preserves and wetlands, introduces its two single-family model homes with a food truck serving delectable food offerings. The enclave also offers homes by Lennar and future family-friendly amenities.

Lennar rolls out the red carpet to four single-family model homes elsewhere in Wellen Park, each offering light refreshments. There’s the three-bedroom, three-bath Marsala in Antigua and three models in Wellen Park Golf & Country Club, featuring the new Bougainvillea II, a luxury estate with nearly 2,800 square feet.

Neal Communities is offering a caricature artist and coffee truck at the Sea Spray II model in Avelina, a neighborhood of only 96 single-family homes with large preserves and lakes. Guests will enjoy a photo booth and ice cream truck stationed outside the Dream II, a three-bedroom single-family model in Wysteria, the builder’s villa and single-family enclave with a private amenity center.

In Gran Place, three models illustrate the possibilities of Sam Rodgers Homes’ 42 semi-custom luxury residences, with the cabana and lanai of the Edgewater hosting live music, serving light food and offering a raffle drawing for a 65-inch TV.

Toll Brothers is offering a charcuterie spread and giving away totes to visitors touring its three models in Solstice, a gated neighborhood of 270 villas and single-family homes overlooking lakes and preserves. The bags are beloved by residents who frequent Wellen Park’s weekly Fresh Harvest farmers market.

In addition to model tours and builder events, Downtown Wellen is hosting live music, games and activities with facepainting and a photo booth from noon to 5 p.m. and a performance by Bradenton blues band Doug Deming & The Jewel Tones on the Solis Hall stage from 1 to 5 p.m. Guests will also enjoy downtown’s variety of dining options, shopping and outdoor recreation.
