VENICE, Fla. (March 10, 2023) – Wellen Park’s fun-loving lifestyle, waterfront vibes and heartfelt connections come to full-color life in the pages of Wellen Park Living, a new glossy coffee table magazine that recently debuted. The inaugural spring 2023 issue also offers a sneak peek and the first public photographs of Downtown Wellen, including a beautiful cover shot of sunset kayaking on the Grand Lake and a from-the-water perspective of the elegant Solis Hall immersed in natural surroundings as its “parting shot” on the final page.
“Wellen Park Living celebrates the excitement and the unique vision of our special community,” said Christine Masney, vice president of marketing for Wellen Park. “We are thrilled to introduce readers to all Wellen Park and Downtown Wellen have to offer and share our insights into the area’s hidden gems, many only locals know about.”
Wellen Park Living will be published quarterly by locally owned SRQ Media Group, a hyper-local media engagement company committed to exploring the relationship between audiences and storytelling with impact in the Sarasota and the Bradenton Area. The magazine is available in Wellen Park neighborhoods, CoolToday Park, Wellen Park Marketplace, Punta Gorda Airport, Sarasota Bradenton International Airport, Venice Chamber, North Port Chamber and various retail and hospitality locations throughout the region. It is also online at wellenpark.com/wellenparkliving.
In addition to showcasing some of the unique experiences and future tenants in Downtown Wellen Park, the debut issue spotlights nearby kayaking and beach daytrips along the Gulf of Mexico, spring training and year-round events at CoolToday Park, and Wellen Park’s community commitment by building cottages for kids in partnership with Habitat for Humanity South Sarasota County.
With Downtown Wellen’s outdoor public amenities now open and events kicking off late February, the fully leased pedestrian-friendly downtown figures prominently throughout the magazine’s 68 pages, from stories highlighting its unique coffee and cocktail culture, profiles of downtown muralists Laura Pommier and Ivan Roque, an introduction to artist Brett Phares whose curated art will be projected on buildings throughout downtown, a pet column for Wellen Park’s furry residents and a behind-the-scenes perspective of the downtown vision by Wellen Park Division President, Rick Severance.
Wellen Park Living also showcases Wellen Park’s many homebuying opportunities, highlighting the community’s neighborhoods, builders and homes with convenient floor plans and photographs of beautiful interior design, outdoor living areas and sunsets.
Consistently ranked among the U.S.’s top-selling communities annually by prominent real estate consulting firm RCLCO, Wellen Park currently has approximately 9,500 residents, and at full buildout will have more than 50,000 residents and 22,500 homes.
The community’s brand and vision are rooted in holistic and practical wellness, designed to give residents greater opportunities to connect with one another, take care of themselves and encourage a healthy and active lifestyle, all within an inclusive, genuine community vibe.
Designed as the central gathering and social hub for the region and located off U.S. 41 just west of South River Road, Downtown Wellen features thoughtfully designed spaces create unique outdoor experiences – from intimate parks, a natural playground and an alfresco living room shaded by decades-old relocated live oak trees to larger locales like the Great Lawn for community festivals, markets, celebrations and events, and the lakefront fountain and splashpad. Solis Hall, a sophisticated rental venue, features an outdoor stage, a lakefront patio and an easy flow from inside spaces to neighboring alfresco destinations. Visitors can enjoy time on the water and along downtown’s 2.8-mile lakefront trail with bicycle, e-bike, kayak and paddleboard rentals at Kind Vibes Outfitters.
