Wellen Park Oktoberfest 2024

Mark your calendar for Wellen Park’s inaugural Oktoberfest celebration! This family-friendly event will have a traditional Oktoberfest atmosphere with German Dancers, a live polka band, a stein-hoisting competition, and more – and of course, plenty of beer, brats, and other traditional eats!

Activity Schedule

12pm: Inaugural Keg Tapping

12pm-4:00pm: DJ Jessie Rodriguez

2pm-3:45pm German Dance Performances

3:45pm: Stein Hoisting Competition

4pm-8pm DeLeon Oktoberfest Band

Stein-Hoisting Competition

Sign-ups will be between 12pm-3:30pm at the downstairs outside patio bar at Oak & Stone. $5 entry fee, all participants get to keep the steins. There will be a women's competition followed by a men's competition. We will accept the first ten women who sign up and the first ten men. The winners of the male and female competitions will then go head-to-head to determine our overall winner.

Contestants will be required to sign liability and photo release waivers.

The Drinks

Each of our Downtown Wellen restaurants will be serving up the tastes of Germany with lagers, ales, and The Banyan House beer trailer will even have some sweet German Riesling!

Drinks will be available to-go from our restaurants and their outdoor bars.

The Food

Bring your appetite, as we'll have a variety of traditional German food to purchase!

The Banyan House will offer traditional German food at their outdoor beer trailer in front of Solis Hall on Wellen Park Blvd. The menu will include: jumbo pretzels, beer-boiled brats, and more!

Lakeside Bites will offer bratwurst, sauerkraut, pomme frites, and kartoffelpuffer (German potato pancakes).

Try PopDawgs for their take on a bratwurst sandwich and German Pretzels.

Oak & Stone will offer Kraut Croquettes, Craft Beer Bratwurst, Bavarian Pretzels, and an OAKtoberfest pizza which includes beer bratwurst, sweet onions, cheddar blend, garlic parm sauce, caraway seed, whole-grain mustard drizzle, & green onion.

When you're ready for something sweet, head to Villani & Co. for their apple streusel!

Do you have shade?
There will be a covered biergarten on the Great Lawn.

What if there is inclement weather?
Our event will proceed rain or shine, we have a tent that will provide cover, unless the weather becomes dangerous.

Where should I park?
There are parking lots and street parking along Sunglow Blvd and Springtide Way. There are handicap accessible locations as well. We strongly suggest carpooling, ridesharing, or designating a driver.

Are there restrooms?
Yes, we have two sets of indoor restrooms.
