A Downtown Wellen Progress Update

We’re well on our way to Downtown Wellen! Construction teams have certainly hit the ground running, which means it’s time for a progress update on Wellen Park’s future hub of community, fitness, and fun. 

See how far we’ve already come during phase one, and browse through a list of all the local, coastal, and otherwise wonderful businesses we can’t wait to have in the neighborhood.

Downtown, Developing

At this stage, you can already see what will surely be iconic Wellen landmarks taking shape. The 2.8 mile long walking, running, and biking trail that will circle the Grand Lake and beyond is in progress and already beckons to those looking to use the space to stay fit. Kind Vibes Outfitters, the premier spot to rent kayaks, paddle boards, e-bikes and traditional bicycles, already glows in Wellen Park’s signature brand color strawberry joy red.

Solis Hall, a unique space crafted to function as a town hall and multi-purpose event space, can be seen on the water’s edge, right beside The Banyan House lakefront restaurant and The Yard, an ultra-casual dining and activity center featuring retrofitted shipping containers that will offer something for everyone. Tropia, a new luxury rental apartment complex, and Grand Living, an independent, assisted living and memory care community, are both well underway too. 

Gourmet Galore & More

We’re excited to announce that Downtown Wellen is 100% leased! Construction is currently on schedule, and many tenants are getting ready to begin their interior build outs. 

While an official grand opening celebration is to come early 2023, some restaurants and businesses will hold soft openings towards the end of this year.

The Banyan House

Wellen Park’s premier lakefront restaurant is perfect for gorgeous sunset views. The creative coastal cuisine crafted at The Banyan House will comprise all catering at Solis Hall next door.

Breakwater Home Fashions

Whether you have a new home to fill or are looking for some new embellishments, Breakwater Home Fashions will be your go-to storefront for all things coastal decor.

Oak & Stone

A local favorite — Oak & Stone will feature stone oven baked pub grub, over 50 rotating brews, and open-air rooftop seating with stunning views of the Grand Lake.

Paint Nail Bar

Find the perfect manicure — luxurious yet affordable — at Paint Nail Bar. Non-toxic materials, top-tier customer service, and complimentary mimosas are this salon’s claim to fame!

Mirabella’s Coastal Italian Cuisine

This Wellen Park resident-owned seafood restaurant is sure to be your new favorite when it comes to Scicillian fare — especially with their focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Naples Soap Company

It’s all about high-quality, natural self care at this specialty boutique. The thoughtfully crafted and beachy scented skin and hair products have been a regional favorite for years.
